If your account set your account to private, then other users cannot like your photos. You can change the public/private setting of you Instagram account by using the 'Posts are Private' menu in the Instagram app as below.
Your Instagram username and password are sent directly to Instagram servers in an encrypted form. They are used for authentication purpose only. We do not transmit or store them anywhere except to the official Instagram servers.
